John Schneider is mourning the loss of his wife, Alicia Allain Schneider, who passed away on Tuesday, February 21, at her home, following an illness. The Dukes of Hazzard star spoke out about the loss on social media.

“My beautiful Smile is pain free, living in her new body alongside Jesus,” Schneider pens. “Please respect our privacy during this time of grief. Please do not ask any questions. If you have any pictures of us and our obvious love and adoration for each other, please post them below. Lastly… hug those you love tight and let them know how you feel. We always did.”

 

Schneider’s former The Dukes of Hazzard co-star, Tom Wopat, also shared his sympathies to Schneider.

“I’ve just gotten word that John Schneider’s wife, Alicia, passed away today….I didn’t get any details, but I don’t need any to be aware of the pain and loss that John’s dealing with,” Wopat writes. “My thoughts and prayers are with him, along with the thoughts and prayers of the entire Dukes nation. Alicia was a force in his life and career, and she will be missed.”

Schneider and Alicia wed in 2019. Also an actress, in recent years, she served as Schneider’s manager and producer on several of his films, including To Die For, Mysterious Circumstance: The Death of Meriweather Lewis, Tres Leches and more.

In addition to The Dukes of Hazzard, Schneider also starred in the hit TV show, Smallville. He has upcoming roles in Stand on It!, They Whisper, Candles and Cadillac Respect.

Alicia was 53 years old when she passed away. She is survived by Schneider, her parents, as well as her grandmother, one daughter and one stepdaughter. A private service will be held for Alicia.
