Justin Moore‘s Stray Dog album is out now. The eight-track record includes both his “You, Me, and Whiskey” duet with Priscilla Block, as well as a collaboration with Riley Green on “Everybody Get Along,”
“I’ve never just gone along with the crowd,” Moore says of Stray Dog. “I’ve always tried to follow my heart and let the chips fall where they may, and I’m really proud of that.”

Moore’s Stray Dog is a statement about who he is, said in the lyrics in all of the eight songs on the project.
“There’s not an agenda behind this album, by any stretch of the imagination,” Moore says in a video shared on social media. “But I’ve never shied away from who I am as a person. If you know anything about me, if you listen to any of my records, you can probably come up with a pretty good idea. I really am proud of this album. I think there are some really mature songs on this album.”
When announcing Stray Dog, the Arkansas native said the record was his way of saying who he was, and wasn’t as an artist, even if it meant being different than everyone else.
“A long time ago I decided I wasn’t going to play games or pursue things that didn’t make me happy,” Moore reflected. “Perhaps that’s made me a bit of an outsider in this industry, but it’s also what allows me to go to bed each night feeling good about what I’m doing.”
“You, Me, and Whiskey,” his second single from Stray Dog, is in the Top 25 at radio now. The song follows his recent No. 1 hit, “With A Woman You Love,” also from the project, which he wrote about his wife, Kate.
“This is just a prototypical love song,” Moore previously told Everything Nash. “It certainly isn’t breaking the mold. But we’ve had, I don’t know, 20 hit records total, let’s just say, for easy math, and four or five of them have been love songs. So we haven’t done a ton of them, is my point. But they all always do really, really well for us. They’re always big hits on the radio and they always stream well, and do all those things. We just kind of forget about that part of our music; there’s one or two on every album, but I rarely put them out as singles.”
