Kane Brown has accomplished a lot in his career so far, but it wouldn’t mean nearly as much without his wife, Katelyn. It’s Katelyn, whom he wed in 2018, and who sings with him on their multi-platinum hit, “Thank God,” who makes all of his success, awards and accolades mean something to him.
“That’s probably my favorite part, because we got together through music,” Brown says on the Today Show. “So getting to live this dream with her, there’s nothing that I could compare it to.”
The couple is also proud parents to two daughters, three-year-old Kingsley and Kodi, one. Both of his girls enjoy music, even if they don’t yet understand their father’s superstar status.
“They love music,” Brown reveals. “They’re huge fans of Miley Cyrus. If you put ‘Flowers’ on, my daughter gets so sassy, so it’s crazy. They love music.”
Brown is not only grateful for his family, but also for his fans, many whom have been with him since the beginning of his career.
“I just want them to know — I actually just wrote a song about it — I came from the radio,” Brown says. “I listened to a lot of music; country was my No. 1. But I make music for everybody to listen to, and kind of branch them into the country genre. So it’s fun. If you come out to my shows, we have a great time. I love performing. It’s just a big family.”
Brown, who performed his recent No. 1 hit, “Bury Me In Georgia” at the recent People’s Choice Country Awards, is back at radio with a new single,“ I Can Feel It.” The song is from his next, feel-good album, one that will mimic his live shows.
“I took all the slow songs out of my set, even though that’s like my bread and butter, the slow music, but I don’t like to play it on stage,” Brown tells Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1. “I like to keep the show energized, keep the fans moving. I don’t want them to go get a beer. That’s what I’m going to focus on for the most part, for this new album.”
Brown will embark on his headlining In The Air Tour in March, where he will be joined by several different acts on the road, including Chris Young, Tyler Hubbard, Cole Swindell, Jon Pardi and Bailey Zimmerman. All of Brown’s music and upcoming shows can be found at KaneBrownMusic.com.
