Lady A, Tim McGraw and Brad Paisley Among Performers for Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular Event

Lady A, Tim McGraw and  Brad Paisley are among the artists who will perform for the upcoming Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular. The country artists join an all-star list that also includes John Legend, the Black Eyed Peas and the Killers.

Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, this year’s event will have a montage of fireworks displays that will take place this week in all five boroughs of New York City, along with a live grand finale. According to the event’s website, the music will “include a special salute to America’s frontline workers, who have served our city and country tirelessly during this time.”

Lady A was forced to make the heartbreaking decision to cancel their Ocean 2020 Tour because of coronavirus. Although the trio, made up of Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood, were devastated to cancel the tour, they admit they are enjoying so much time at home with their families and friends.

“I think if there’s any silver lining in this, it definitely puts into perspective what life really is all about, and what really matters. First and foremost, that’s family,” Charles Kelley said, as part of a clip CMT shared from the Celebrate Our Heroes TV special. “Also I think it makes us realize how much we need companionship, and we need friendship. I miss just going out to dinner with friends, and catching up that way. So I think if anything else, hopefully it makes us just appreciate people we have in our lives more.

“The situation has taught me to savor time with my little girls and my husband,” continued Hillary Scott.

Tim and Brad were also forced to cancel shows, but at least Brad is finding a way to still perform. The “No I in Beer” singer will headline three concerts as part of the Live From the Drive-In Concert series, held July 10 to 12, in three cities, including Nashville.

“I’m very excited to do this because I wanted to make sure, if we were going to do anything like this, that they had the important stuff worked out,” Brad said. “My goal would be not to spread this virus to one person. There should be no spread from this. That’s key. I just don’t think it’s worth doing shows if we’re putting people at risk.”.

Nashville will also host a July 4th event, which will be online this year, over concerns for public safety.

The Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular will air on July 4 at 8 PM EST on NBC
