Lady A‘s Hillary Scott is pregnant! The singer announces on social media that she and her husband, Chris Tyrrell are expecting their fourth child, also a girl.
“Chris, Eisele, Emory, Betsy, and I are overjoyed to report that this summer our family will be made complete with the most precious little SISTER joining the family.,” Scott writes. “I’m dusting off that maternity bin from the storage room ONE more time.
“Four daughters,” she continues. “We are thankful that God has entrusted us with a household of little ladies, and I couldn’t be happier that my husband continues his streak as the absolute BEST girl dad, in my opinion!”

Their new addition joins 11-year-old Eisele plus twins Emory and Betsy, who recently turned seven.
The news is especially welcoming for the 38-year-old, who suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage in 2015. The song became the inspiration for her song, “Thy Will,” which she included on her “Love Remains” album.
“It was my honest conversation with God about, why do bad things happen?” Scott tells The Boot. “But, ultimately, I trust Your will for my life and that it’s all going to be okay. So being able to write that song was such a part of the healing process for me in the beginning. And now even more so, with it being out and having people’s feedback in their own lives and the stories that they are sharing with me and how this song is touching them.”
Scott’s talent definitely runs in the family. Over the holidays, she released a new song, “Hard to Wait for Christmas,” which Scott wrote with Tyrrell and Eisele, also singing the tune with her eldest daughter.
“Last year Eisele, her dad, and I sat and wrote this song after a little family drama trying to explain to her sisters, Betsy and Emory, why we were not able to open every single day of the advent calendar,” Scott recalls. “This conversation led into all the other reasons why it is hard to wait for Christmas. Our hope is that this song makes your family smile and lean into the playful spirit of the holiday season while you wait 40 more days until Christmas.”
Lady A’s last new single, “Love You Back,” was released in 2023. The group, who will likely not tour this year due to Scott’s pregnancy, are reportedly working on a new album. When the trio does hit the road again, it will be a much different tour, since Charles Kelley is now proudly sober.
“I have to give so many props for Charles and his vulnerability and his bravery to share what he’s been through with the world,” Dave Haywood tells the Chicago Sun-Times. “I don’t know if I have a friend that I’ve spoken to that hasn’t indirectly or directly been impacted by addiction.”
