Lainey Wilson Drops ‘Hang Tight Honey’ as New Single [LISTEN]

Following her seventh consecutive No. 1 single, with “Wildflowers and Wild Horses,” Lainey Wilson has a brand-new single out. The country music hitmaker just released “Hang Tight Honey” as the first single from her forthcoming Whirlwind album, out on August 23.

Wilson announced the new track on social media.

“I’ve been runnin’ the roads nonstop for a few years now and I ain’t gonna lie to y’all, sometimes it can be tough being away from home that much,” Wilson writes. “At the same time, remembering what ‘home’ is and the things that I get to do for the ones I love because of the work I put in, is what keeps me going and makes it all worthwhile.

“This one’s an anthem for the hard working men and women that get up every dang day and put in long hours to make a life worth living for the ones they love most,” she continues. “Love y’all! Crank ‘er up loud and proud. Listen now and pre-save, pre-add, or pre-order ‘Whirlwind’ (out Aug. 23) now!”

When announcing Whirlwind, which follows her 2022 sophomore Bell Bottom Cpuntry album, the Louisiana native said she couldn’t wait to share the finished product with the rest of the world.

“I am so excited to finally announce Whirlwind,” Wilson said at the time. “This album has been a long time coming, and I can’t wait for the world to have this body of work in their hands soon. This new chapter of music is the most cathartic and personal piece of art I’ve ever made. I hope this record brings some peace to your whirlwind and wraps its arms around you like it did for me.”

Wilson’s new single comes as she is also putting the finishing touches on her new  Bell Bottoms Up Bar in Nashville, taking the place of the former FGL House, which closed after Florida Georgia Line disbanded.

“I’ve always wanted to create a destination for all my fans to visit and create new memories at, in the heart of country music city,” Wilson said of the new business venture, slated to be opened this summer. “So, to have a permanent destination in Nashville, is such a dream come true. I can’t wait for all my Wild Horses to get to experience my home away from home.”
