New music is coming from Lauren Alaina! The American Idol alum just announced the release of Sitting Pretty On Top of the World on September 3, an ambitious 15-track record, with Alaina co-writing all but one of the songs on the project

Alaina has already released  “Getting Over Him,” her duet with Jon Pardi, which is her current single. She is also making available “It Was Me,” the first song from Sitting Pretty On Top of the World, for fans who pre-order the record.

Alaina’s last full-length album, Road Less Traveled, was released in 2017. Since then, the Georgia native released two EPs, Getting Over Him and Getting Good, with the title track of the latter landing in the Top 30.

“It’s about a dreamer becoming an achiever,” Alaina says of Sitting Pretty On Top of the World. “It’s being broken and ending up healed. It’s all of me. The early chapters. The new beginnings. The hope for the future and total appreciation for the past. Taking the Road Less Traveled and ending up Sitting Pretty On Top of the World.”

Alaina is spending much of the remainder of 2021 on the road, including opening up for Florida Georgia Line on their I Love This Country Tour, which kicks off in September.
