It’s not the holiday season LeAnn Rimes planned. The “Blue” singer has been forced to reschedule two more shows, as part of her JOY — The Holiday Tour, including one at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, scheduled for this Saturday, December 10. She is also postponing a concert scheduled for Friday, December 9, at Riverside Casino, in Riverside, Iowa.
Rimes, who also had to cancel her opening night on December 2, due to illness, shared the disappointing news in a hand-written note posted on social media.
“It completely and utterly breaks my heart to have to announce that I will be rescheduling this weekend’s shows,” Rimes pens. “While sick with the flu, my doctor discovered a bleed on my vocal cord, caused by the violent cough that came along with being sick. I am getting better, but I am unable to talk or sing… doctor’s orders!
“I am devastated to have to do this as there was nothing more that I was looking forward to than celebrating the holidays with you,” she adds”. Please check your emails for rescheduled information and I will see you very soon.”

In the caption, Rimes reveals that she will now perform at the Ryman Auditorium on April 8, 2023, and Riverside Casino on September 29.
In September, Rimes released god’s work, a 12-track record that includes a collaboration with Mickey Guyton, Tata Vega and Robert Randolph, on the title track.
“For me, god’s work was all about a journey of reclamation, where humanity meets spirit,” Rimes said of the project. “The idea was to really dig into the duality of life, and I needed to be at the place I am in my life now in order to release this record whole-heartedly. It’s so empowering that I am finally there.”
Rimes was eager to be able to tour, only a few months after the release of god’s work, and following her CMT Crossroads special, LeAnn Rimes & Friends, featuring Rimes along with Guyton, Carly Pearce, Ashley McBryde, and Brandy Clark.
“This is such an expansive year for me, from my new album release later this year to my upcoming tour, and I could not think of a better way to kick it all off than to celebrate the past, present and future with this memorable show,” she said.
