The Ryman Auditorium just announced a limited number of guests will be allowed for their weekly Live at the Ryman event this Friday, September 4. The historic venue, which will host its third show in the six-week series this Friday (September 4) with Scotty McCreery, will allow 125 ticketed guests, following all guidelines set forth by local health guidelines.
Scotty spoke out about the good news on social media, shortly after it was announced, in a video he posted.
“I just found out that the Ryman has been allowed to sell 125 tickets to come and see the show live and in-person, in a safe and socially-distanced way. I personally cannot wait to see you all in the crowd, and see all your masked up faces. Should be a lot of fun…I cannot wait to see you all on Friday.”
The Live at the Ryman series was created as a way for fans to safely experience live music, without leaving home, during the coronavirus pandemic.
“Our company has prioritized the health and safety of our employees, customers and artists since day one of the pandemic,” Colin Reed, chairman and CEO, Ryman Hospitality Properties, said in a statement. “This unique live music experience represents the next step in our commitment to doing things the right way while also creating a repeatable model that will allow artists and fans to connect during this bridge period until a vaccine or treatment for COVID-19 is available.”
The American Idol alum just made the heartbreaking decision to reschedule his European tour until 2021, out of an abundance of caution.
“I am sad to announce today that we are postponing our UK and Ireland shows, scheduled for October 2020, to May 2021 due to an abundance of caution surrounding the ongoing global pandemic and government measures implemented to limit its spread,” Scotty said last month. “The band and I have been looking forward all year to coming back to England as well as visiting Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland for the first time, but our fans safety is our first priority.
“Ticket holders are advised to keep hold of their tickets as they will be valid for the new rescheduled dates with limited tickets still available for shows in Manchester, London, Glasgow, and Dublin; (the Belfast date is sold out),” he added. “The new dates are in the graphic below. Stay safe everyone. I cannot wait to come back over there.”
The Live at the Ryman series began on August 14 with FOR KING & COUNTRY, followed by Cam and Chris Janson. Scotty will perform this Friday, with Brett Young performing on September 11, and Old Crow Medicine Show wrapping up the series on September 18. Ticket sales for the final two shows have yet to be announced.
The Ryman Auditorium is also open for self-guided tours. Find more details, and purchase tickets for Scotty’s Live at the Ryman performance, by visiting Ryman.com.
