Downtown Nashville bars might be closed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but there is still a way for Music City residents to enjoy a free meal, courtesy of TC Restaurant Group, owner of Jason Aldean’s Kitchen and Rooftop Bar, Luke Bryan’s 32 Bridge Bar, Florida Georgia Line’s FGL House and others.
The restaurant group is partnering with the American Red Cross to encourage blood donation for a special event on Tuesday, April 21, from 10 AM to 4 PM. Those who participate will receive a free lunch, courtesy of TC Restaurant Group chefs, a swag bag, and a $100 grocery gift card courtesy of TC Restaurant Group while supplies last.
Florida Georgia Line was one of several bar owners on lower Broadway who spoke out after they were forced to shut their doors due to an order by Nashville’s mayor John Cooper. In a statement shared on social media, Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard vowed to follow Dierks Bentley’s lead, and pay their employees even though FGL House wasn’t in business.
“We just wanted to do a quick shoutout to Dierks Bentley,” Tyler said on social media. “You inspired us, man. We’re gonna follow suit, we’re gonna take your lead and we’re gonna do the same thing, we’re gonna give $1,000 to all the FGL House employees. We really hope this helps out in a time of need. We very very vividly remember what it’s like to be in the service industry, to be a server, to be a bartender and to rely on tips to pay the bills.”
A reservation is required to donate blood. More information, including reservation instructions, can be found at TC Restaurant Group’s website.
