Monday, June 29, is a big day for Lucas Hoge. The singer’s brand-new TV show, Hoge Wild, makes its debut on the Sportsman Channel. Although Lucas is accustomed to being in front of people, singing on stage, he admits being in front of a TV camera is entirely different.
“It’s completely night and day, honestly,” Lucas told Everything Nash. “I love being on stage. I love that interaction, that face to face, being able to connect with a crowd. I just want to be on stage. And then being behind the curtain, in front of the camera, you’re trying to do the same thing and bring that energy out with the fans as well, while they’re watching the show, but it’s a completely different mindset.”
Hoge Wild follows Lucas as he hunts, fishes, dives and performs all over the country, while also focusing on one of his passions: wildlife conservation.
“I love it. I really do. I’ve traveled all over the world already,” Lucas said, adding that he hopes Hoge Wild inspires others to travel as well. “Hopefully I can bring the travel a little bit to them, so they feel like on they are on an adventure with me.”
Lucas is both the creator and executive producer of Hoge Wild, which has been a dream of his for years.
“This show has been a passion of mine and a long time in the making,” Lucas said in a statement. “My guitar has been my passport to traveling across the globe and meeting amazing people. The show will have thrills and adventure, but also focus on conservation and changing the narrative of hunting. I couldn’t be more excited to share these adventures with everyone.”
Hoge Wild premieres at 7:00 PM ET on Sportsman Channel. Check local listings at HogeWild.com.
