Luke Bryan is canceling his 2020 Farm Tour amid coronavirus concerns. The singer shared the disappointing news on social media, adding that he plans to resume his Farm Tour next year.
“To all my Farm Tour fans out there, I’m sad to announce that the 2020 Farm Tour shows will not happen due to COVID-19,” Luke wrote. “We’ve been going strong for the last 11 consecutive years so this one really hurts. We have looked at all kinds of ways to continue with the shows but couldn’t come up with a solution to give y’all the full Farm Tour experience while keeping everyone safe. Until next year. Love y’all!”

The singer-songwriter formerly called his Farm Tours one of his favorite events of the year, because it allowed him to bring live music to those in rural areas, as well as help provide scholarships for students in those areas.
“The idea behind this tour is to bring full production concerts to small towns that would not see larger scale shows,” Luke previously said of his annual Farm Tours. “Growing up in rural Georgia we had to drive to larger cities to see concerts. It is so exciting to watch each of these shows being built like a small city in itself in the empty pasture land of these farms. We can feel the pride from the people in these towns as well as the farmers and it takes everyone coming together to pull them off.”
“We hope we feel like we’re a positive thing for the local economies for these small towns, which wouldn’t necessarily have 15, 20-thousand people converging on themm” he added. “I hope it’s a positive thing for them and not a negative. I enjoy being out there [performing in] the field and playing for the fans.”
In addition to canceling his Farm Tour, Luke had to postpone his Proud to Be Right Here Tour, because of the coronavirus pandemic. Luke was also supposed to headline the Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam in September. The event has been moved to 2021.
