Luke Combs is blown away by the success of Concert for Carolina. The event, organized and headlined by Combs and fellow North Carolina native Eric Church, raised more than $24 million dollars to help in the state’s recovery efforts after the devastating Hurricane Helene.
It was Combs who reached out to Church with the idea, adding James Taylor, Billy Strings, Keith Urban, Bailey Zimmerman, Sheryl Crow. Scotty McCreery, Chase Rice and Parmalee to the lineup. The event was held at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, which was donated to Combs and Church for the event.
“My goodness, what a night!” Combs shared on social media after the event. “This will undoubtedly go down as the night I am most proud of in my career. Being able to give back to the place that gave me so much. There are so many people to thank for helping making this night possible on such short notice. My team, band and crew worked so hard to pull this off and I seriously can’t thank them enough.”

Combs went on to thank everyone who helped make Concert for Carolina a reality, concluding with his overwhelming gratitude at the success of the event.
“We were able to raise 24.5 MILLION DOLLARS for the people of Western North Carolina and I’m so thankful and humbled to be able to be a part of that,” Combs said. “There were countless friends, family, and neighbors there and you could truly feel the love in that stadium last night.”
Urban also spoke out about being part of Concert for Carolina, which fell on his 57th birthday, sharing a few highlights from the show.

Even as the news of the extensive damage in North Carolina was being revealed, Combs was already formulating a plan with Church to help raise money for those who need it most.
“I was obviously at home watching the news the day after everything started coming out about the storm there,” Combs told Good Morning America. “This was the first guy I called. I know how much our state means to him and to myself, and I knew that he would be willing to do whatever it took to help out. I had this crazy idea to do a show at Bank of America [Stadium].”
All of the proceeds from Concert for Carolina will be split equally between Combs’ charities of choice, which are Samaritan’s Purse, Manna Food Bank and Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC, and Eben Charities, and Church’s Chief Cares Foundation, to administer to organizations of their choosing in support of relief efforts across the Carolinas and the Southeast.
