Luke Combs is teasing a new song, this one celebrating fatherhood. Combs, who shares two sons with his wife, Nicole, shared a clip of the song on social media, revealing it was one of many new songs fans could expect from him in 2024.
“Got sent this song a while back from Wyatt McCubbin that he wrote with Rob Snyder and Jeff Hyde,” Combs captioned the video. “Last night it was in my head and I couldn’t sleep so I got up and messed around with it for a few hours. Been singing it to myself all morning and as I watched the boys while Nicole got a shower in I recorded this.
“Hope y’all like it and sorry for all the dad songs but that’s where I’m at these days and I couldn’t be happier about it,” he added. “A lot more songs to come soon.”

Combs and Nicole are the proud parents to their two-year-old son, Tex, and a four-month-old son, Beau. Although the family could certainly afford to hire professional help, Combs says they don’t plan on using a nanny to help raise their boys.
“We’ve thought about it, and it’s not a question of ‘Can we afford that?’” Combs shared on on Audacy‘s Superstar Power Hour. “It’s a question of ‘Do we want that for our kids?’ And right now, at this time, I don’t think that’s something that we’re really interested in, because I want our kids to have as normal of a life as possible considering the circumstances. I’d rather them be riding bikes than riding a tour bus.”
Combs, who will embark on his Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old Tour in April, isn’t always able to be present to help with the children, but he loves any glimpse of life at home he can get while on the road.
“I think the thing that blew me away most was how much of a serotonin dump there is, just looking at a picture of him on my phone or getting a picture from my wife or a little video of my wife,” Combs previously said on SiriusXM’s The Highway. “It just makes my whole day. It can make you feel instantly amazing just seeing them in their little chair, bouncing around or whatever they are doing. It’s amazing, something so simple.
“It almost feels like in a way that I am a kid again, because there aren’t things when you’re 30 years old that are just so small of things that can make you so gratified and so happy,” he continued. “I think a child’s laughter or a smile from your kid, it just melts you.”
