Luke Combs has a new album, coming soon. The 35-year-old hints that he is working on his next project, his sixth, and can’t wait to share it with the world.
“I’ve been spending the last couple of weeks working on what my next record looks like,” Combs reveals on social media. “And as it begins to take shape I can honestly say I’ve never felt better about one at this stage. It’s early on but I really do think it could wind up being the best record I’ve ever made.”

Combs’ last record, Father & Sons, came out in 2024.The 12-track record is about Combs’ love of being a father to his own two sons, Tex, and Beau.
“Every song has something to do with fatherhood, or being a son, or being a dad,” Combs tells CBS News. “In some ways, it’s a way less-smart concept album.”
Combs recently earned an impressive new accolade: getting a star on the Music City Walk of Fame.
“You never start in this business to get recognized or win awards,” Combs says. “We start with a love of music, and that’s what I have. I’ve been singing ever since I was a kid. It’s one of the only things that I feel like I’m actually really good at, and I’m very, very blessed to be able to do that on a scale beyond my wildest dreams. It’s so incredible to get to be standing up here today. Being on this Walk of Fame is something that I never could have planned for.”

Combs has already amassed dozens of awards, something he says he never, ever predicted.
“I never would have imagined in a million years that it would have turned into what it turned into,” Combs admits. “It started as a dream. People ask me, ‘When did you make it in the music business?’ I get asked that question all the time. And the answer is always the same, All I wanted to do was be able to make a living playing music, and doing something that I loved. And that would have been paying my bills, living in a one-bedroom apartment by myself. I would have been happy doing that.
“So when I came to Nashville, there was never any expectations of, I need to be a superstar, and I need to play stadiums, or I need to get a publishing deal,” he continues. “It was just, ‘I want to be happy.’ And I’m so happy living the life I get to live now and living it with the people I get to live it with.”
Combs’ last single was “Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma,” from the Twisters soundtrack.
“This song came together pretty organically, honestly,” Combs tells iHeartCountry. “We got on a Zoom call with the folks that were putting together the soundtrack and movie, and they gave us some talking points or creative suggestions on what they were looking for. I was on my phone, writing down titles and ideas as they were going over things, and this is one of the titles that I wrote down in that meeting.
“As soon as it was over, I threw it out to one of co-writers, Jonathan, that was in the room with me, and about two days later we got together and wrote this tune, and it really came together super naturally,” he adds.
