“In tears writing this but given these unprecedented circumstances I’ve decided to postpone RSVP The Tour to 2021,” Morris shared. “Thankfully, all rescheduled dates will be in the same venues, so your tickets will be valid at the door. If you would like a refund, the ticketing company will send details via email to all buyers.
“These months have been a rolling wave of uncertainty, hope and reality. Let’s do this at the right time when we can all be together again. Safe, connected and awake to that fact that live music, as a fan or as the one on stage, is even more precious now. Thank you for understanding. Love you, – M.”
Maren, who just welcomed her first child, Hayes Andrew Hurd, into the world in March, planned on hitting the road in June, with her husband, Ryan Hurd, joining her for the first part of the tour. She previously opened up about her life at home, and how eager she was to perform for her fans again.
“I will never complain again about playing a show, or an early flight to get to a show, after this,” Maren maintained on CBS This Morning, while appearing with The Highwomen to discuss their new single, “Crowded Table.” “I’m so ready to play music again.”
“Having this baby has been the most beautiful distraction from the outside world,” she continued. “I feel very cocooned at home with Ryan, my husband, and our baby. That’s been an amazing miracle to have.”
Kenny Chesney also announced today that he is postponing his Chillaxification Tour until next year. He has not yet announced his new dates. All of Maren’s upcoming shows can be found at MarenMorris.com.
