Martina McBride is once again hitting the road to spread holiday cheer this year with her The Joy of Christmas Tour. The Grand Ole Opry member will kick off the tour on November 26 in Greensboro, North Carolina, performing a total of 12 dates, with the tour wrapping up on December 18 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
“This is the 12th year of doing the Joy Of Christmas Tour and I truly believe our 2022 version of the show is the best yet,” says McBride. “It is truly a night for the whole family to celebrate all the joyful things about the holiday season. We look forward to it every year and are honored that our show has become a tradition for us and the fans. We cannot wait to take it back on the road!”
With McBride’s three daughters grown, the Kansas native is able to focus more on her career, something she chose not to do while they were still living at home.
“It became my priority,” McBride told People. “I felt like it was important for me to try to keep things as sane and normal as possible for the kids, so I turned down a lot: TV opportunities and touring overseas for extended periods of time. But I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”
McBride was recently announced as a guest artist on the FOX TV drama, Monarch, starring Trace Adkins and Susan Sarandon. She will spend several dates on the road this fall with Wynonna Judd, serving as the opening act on what was supposed to the The Judds’ farewell The Final Tour. Faith Hill, Trisha Yearwood, Ashley McBryde, Little Big Town and Brandi Carlile are among the artists who will also join Judd for various dates.
