Matthew West has a new song for his fans. The singer just released “You Changed My Name” from his forthcoming My Story Your Glory double album, out on February 17. The two-part record features both West’s own stories and stories by fans on the My Story part, with his first worship album encompassing the My Glory record.

The video was filmed during West’s annual Come Home For Christmas event.

“As we get closer to the release of this double album, I’m so excited to share a song from the Your Glory worship album,” shares West. “‘You Changed My Name’ is the song declaring the powerful truth in knowing our true identity in Christ. I can’t wait to lead this in worship and I hope its message will remind us all that we are not only saved by grace, we are changed by grace.”

West also spoke out about the song and video on social media.

“We’re another week closer to my double album, [My Story Your Glory], and it’s time to share a new song + video from the ‘Your Glory’ worship project,” West writes. “’You Changed My Name’ is a message that reminds us that we are not only saved by grace, we are changed by grace. I’m so honored to be joined in the video by many of you who came to visit me in Franklin last month.

“Leading you in worship made me even more excited to play this one on the road,” he adds. “It’s one I hope you’ll keep singing loudly long after you hear it: ‘I don’t have to answer to any name but CHOSEN CHILD OF GOD!'”

West recently celebrated his 12th No. 1 single as an artist with “Me On Your Mind,” a song he wrote with Anne Wilson and Jeff Pardo.

“I’ve written a lot of songs these past couple of years with my friends Anne Wilson and Jeff Pardo for Anne’s debut record. Together we’ve experienced a special creative connection that’s not always easy to find,” West explains. “I had this idea for a song called ‘Me on Your Mind,’ that was rolling around in my head the whole time we were writing another song one day. As we finished that song and Anne began heading for the door, I told them about this other idea, She sat back down and we wrote a song that makes me cry every time I sing it!”
