Michael Bublé Releases ‘Maybe This Christmas’ With Carly Pearce

Michael Bublé just dropped a new Christmas song, joined by country music superstar, Carly Pearce. The two teamed up together to release “Maybe This Christmas,” out now.

The collaboration happened after Bublé and Pearce met while both appearing on the current season, Season 26, of The Voice. Bublé is serving as a coach this season, along with Reba McEntire, Gwen Stefani and Snoop Dogg, while Pearce is serving as a Playoff Mentor on Buble’s team.

“Sometimes the best things happen when you least expect them,” Pearce said on social media, ahead of the song’s release. “This collab fell into place so seamlessly it feels like fate had a hand in it. We’re so proud of this song! We hope you love it as much as we do.”

Earlier this month, Pearce and Bublé shared a humorous video announcing their new duet, calling “Maybe This Christmas” the “greatest Christmas song ever.”

Bublé  also shared his wife Luisana Lopilato’s reaction to hearing “Maybe This Christmas” for the first time, which left her in tears.

“I poured my heart into this song and it’s always a vulnerable place to share new music,” he writes. “Seeing Lu so emotional erased all my doubt. I wrote this song for those who find the holidays a hard time.. a lonely time. Music has a way of healing and this one means a lot.”

Bublé has already announced he will return for Season 27 of The Voice, joined by newcomer Kelsea Ballerini, along with  John Legend and Adam Levine. The Canadian will likely take the lessons he has learned from watching McEntire, who is in her third season as a coach now, after winning Season 25.

“Reba McEntire has shocked us,” Bublé told Entertainment Weekly. “There were two people she had on her team that were one-chair turns for her. We didn’t see it and we couldn’t believe it. None of us. Snoop, myself and Gwen looked at each other and went, ‘How did we not turn to these people?’ So there’s something in Reba’s experience that allows her to hear and see things that we just didn’t.”

“Maybe This Christmas” isn’t the only song Pearce has out right now. She currently has a Top 40 single with “Truck on Fire,” the second single from her hummingbird album, released earlier this year.

“No one wants to be cheated on, but everyone wants to seek revenge,” Pearce said of the inspiration behind “Truck on Fire.” “I wrote this song for every girl who has gone through a similar situation and dreams of wreaking havoc on her ex. I got the opportunity to perform the song live while on tour with Tim McGraw and the way the fans have embraced it has blown me away every single time. I couldn’t think of a better song to make my next single.”
