Talk about an unforgettable performance. Miranda Lambert wrapped up her headlining set at Stagecoach music festival by bringing out Country Music Hall of Fame member Reba McEntire to join her. The two superstars sang Lambert’s “Mama’s Broken Heart” and “Gunpowder & Lead,” along with McEntire’s “Fancy” to close out the night.
McEntire praised Lambert after their surprise collaboration on social media.
“What a night!!!” the 69-year-old said. “Thanks Miranda Lambert for asking me to be part of Stagecoach last night. And thanks to all the country music fans for sticking with us in that wind!”

Lambert performed several of her hits throughout her set, along with her newly-announced single, “Wranglers.”
“‘Wranglers’ is a classic tale of a woman taking her power back,” Lambert says of the track. “I think we can all identify with the character in this song, because we have all had a time in our life where we needed to find our strength, and also get a little revenge on someone who did us wrong or hurt us. This offers such a cool, raging take on how something like this unravels. I think the songwriters nailed it.
“I am so proud to sing it. It feels like it could have been on the same record as ‘Gunpowder & Lead’ in a lot of ways,” she adds. “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned is a pretty powerful statement, and the way it’s written, you can tell, we’re not kidding.”
“Wranglers” is part of a new musical chapter for Lambert. The song is the debut single the Texan is releasing on Republic Nashville, in a joint venture with Big Loud Records, after leaving her longtime label, Sony Music Nashville, last year.
“People don’t always know what it is, they just know they want some more,” Lambert reflects. “It’s not that it’s so fancy or top secret, because it’s about as basic as you get. But that’s the magic: to strip things down like this and still create something new? Less is more, but it forces you to turn up the truth. So, get ready.”
For Lambert, “Wranglers” is the perfect way to introduce her new music to the rest of the world.
“Music is and always will be the thing that drives me, but having a new home has given me a hunger I didn’t realize I still had inside me,” says the 40-year-old. “This song feels like it could be on the same record as ‘Gunpowder & Lead’; it has that same fury. I can’t wait to get out there with this new label and this new music.”
