Miranda Lambert is involved in every detail of her upcoming Casa Rosa restaurant and bar, located in the heart of downtown Nashville. The new eatery makes the Texas native the first female artist to have a downtown bar, joining the ranks of artists like Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean and more, and she is doing everything she can to embrace her femininity in the new space.
“It’s got some girly touches for sure,” Lambert hinted told CMT‘s Cody Alan “It’s pretty much all boys down there with the bars as it is now, and I am seeing more and more bachelorette parties every single day. I mean I ran into about three different groups of them at the airport the other day. so I was like, ’We need something that plays a little more toward the girls.’ And also, that’s an ode to our home state. Tacos and tequila are the primary dishes at the restaurant.”
The menu at Casa Rosa promises the Tex-Mex style food Lambert grew up eating, and still enjoys today.
“I’ve actually done three or four tastings, and we’re doing a friends and family day coming up soon to get final approval from a couple of Texans,” Lambert said.
The 37-year-old takes the responsibility of being a female restaurant owner in Music City very, very seriously.
“It’s a very big deal to me to represent the female vision of a restaurant/bar on Broadway,” Lambert told Sounds Like Nashville. “Growing up in Texas, I’m such a huge fan of Tex-Mex. It’s food that I love and now I get to bring that to Nashville to a bar with my name on it. I’ve been very involved in the design because I want people to have a place that feels like my taste and so it mattered to me when folks go there, they feel like its Miranda’s place.”
Casa Rosa will be located at 308 Broadway. It is expected to open this summer.
