Miranda Lambert is sharing more details about her new Casa Rosa bar, opening in downtown Nashville. The new space, which marks the first time a female country artist is opening a bar in Music City, will offer Tex-Mex food, and is scheduled to be open later this year.
“Casa Rosa Tex-Mex Cantina opening in 2021 in downtown Nashville,” Lambert tweeted. “So excited to have a honky tonk with my name on it! Tacos, tequila & tufted pink booths…what else can a girl ask for?! This place is special and I’m happy to be representing the ladies here in Music City.”

The new details come only a few days after Lambert announced the release of The Marfa Tapes, a collaborative record between Lambert and her good friends, and fellow songwriters, Jack Ingram and Jon Randall. which was written over the span of five days in Marfa, Texas last year.
“I’ll never forget pulling into Marfa that first night at 4:00 AM,” Lambert recalled in a statement about the project. “The stars were like nothing I’d ever seen before, just this endless blanket hanging so low you could reach up and touch them. I immediately understood why this place was so special.”
The 15 songs on The Marfa Tapes include the ACM-winning “Tin Man,” along with the just-released “In His Arms,” and other songs that hold a special place in Lambert’s heart
“We’ve been writing songs out there for six years,” Lambert revealed on SiriusXM’s The Storme Warren Show. “And this last time we went in September to write. We were going through all the songs. We were kind of going through all the years of our work tapes on our phones. And I’m like, ‘What’s going to happen to these songs? Let’s just put them out raw.’ And so we did. We are, which is scary, but I’m excited about it.”
Lambert was just announced as a performer for the upcoming 2021 Grammy Awards, along with Mickey Guyton, Maren Morris and Brandi Carlile, among others.
The Marfa Tapes will be released on May 7.
