Morgan Evans has a new EP coming out soon, and a new video, available now. The Aussie announces the release of his Life Upside Down EP, which includes both “Over For You” and his latest track, “On My Own Again.” The songs were written in the wake of his split from  Kelsea Ballerini, after almost five years of marriage.

“I called the EP Life Upside Down because this collection of music could only have come from this time, when my life felt exactly that,” Evans explains. “To me, these five tracks journey through unexpected heartbreak, self-rediscovery, new beginnings and a newfound gratitude for the present moment.”

Evans also just released the video for “On My Own Again,” a surprisingly uplifting song about Evans’ unexpected return to being single. The video was filmed all over the globe.

“Eight shows, seven countries, three bicycles, two goats and one camel,” Evans says of the video. “For a song documenting a poignant moment in my life, I thought it’d be appropriate to make a video the same way. I invited the guys behind the ‘Over For You’ music video and the docuseries on the road in Morocco, Europe, Ireland and the UK for one of the adventures of my life so far.”

“Over For You” was the first song Evans released after news of his divorce from Ballerini was announced. It was a song born from his own heartache, which poured out into the lyrics.

“I sat down in the room, and it was the only song I’d written in two months,” Evans recalled on Apple Music’s Today’s Country Radio with Kelleigh Bannen. “And I sat in the room and there was a good mate of mine in there, Geoff Warburton… He was in there and two people I’d never met, actually, Madison [Love] and Tim [Sommers]. And I just sat in the corner of the room, I was like, ‘Well, look, I’m going to be useless today unless I just tell you what’s going on.’

“That’s what happened,” he continued. “I had that title; just as a songwriter in general, you’re writing down titles all the time from life. But it just came about as a, ‘Hey, this is what’s going on.’”
