We now know which star-studded duets will be taking place for New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash. The five-hour event, airing on CBS on December 31, will feature multiple artists collaborating together.
Jimmie Allen will sing with Flo Rida, while Kelsea Ballerini will sing with Wynonna Judd. Sheryl Crow and Ashley McBryde will perform together, as will Steve Miller and King Calaway, Thomas Rhett and Riley Green will also perform together, likely their recent No. 1 hit, “Half of Me.” The Zac Brown Band and The War and Treaty will also perform together as well.
Other artists slated to appear include Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Darius Rucker, Lainey Wilson, Brooks & Dunn, and Little Big Town, In addition, CMT’s Cody Alan and WCBS’ Lonnie Quinn will appear live from New York City for the ball drop in Times Square before the Nashville crowd rings in the New Year with the annual Music Note Drop at midnight Central Time.
New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash will feature 50 back-to-back performances from various stages across Nashville. Allen and Elle King will serve as the evening’s hosts, an invitation Allen was thrilled to accept.
“When I got the call to host, I was super excited and started looking forward to it right then,” Allen said (via Entertainment Tonight). “I was part of the show last year as a performer, so being able to co-host it this year with Elle King and Rachel Smith and see all the great performances that are lined up — it’s going to be awesome.”
“I get to represent not only Nashville and country music but my home state of Delaware – primetime television on New Year’s Eve!” he added. “Let’s bring this new year in right!”
New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash will air on CBS on Saturday, Dec. 31 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT; 10:30 PM-1:30 AM, ET/PT), and stream live and on-demand on Paramount+.
