Old Dominion‘s Brad Tursi is launching his own solo career. The singer, songwriter and guitarist announces the release of his own Parallel Love album, out on July 19. Tursi wrote or co-wrote all ten songs on the project.
“This process was purely creative,” Tursi says. “I wasn’t even sure I’d release a project, but when I played it for my team, they all reacted really positively. It felt like everything aligned to finally share it.”
Tursi also spoke out about Parallel Love on social media.
“I’m so excited for this record to finally come out!” Tursi writes. “Some of these songs are more than 10 years old. This may be a little departure from what you are used to from me (don’t worry, I’m NOT leaving OD!!) but I hope you take the ride with me!”

In addition to Old Dominion songs that Tursi co-wrote, including No. 1 hits like “No Such Thing As A Broken Heart,” “Written In the Sand” and more, Tursi has penned hits for other artists, with cuts by Keith Urban, Dan + Shay, Luke Bryan and more.
Tursi also wrote, along with the other four Old Dominion members, the group’s current single, “Coming Home.”
“‘Coming Home’ is a song that started, in the studio actually,” Tursi explains. “Our producer and co-writer, Shane McAnally, had that idea, ‘I want to kiss you like I’m coming home from war.’ And, Trevor [Rosen] started jamming a little thing on the guitar, and we just kind of ran with it. And before we knew it, we had a song and we were actually recording it the same day. It just captures that, that feeling of just wanting to get back to your baby.”
Old Dominion’s lead singer Matthew Ramsey also spoke out about the song when it was released.
“I think everyone at some point suffers from that separation desperation,” Ramsey said at the time. “You’re living your life; you know what you’re doing is totally worth it. But then when you turn the truck, car, bus or airplane home, there’s this energy that sweeps over you – and it feels good.”
