Post Malone is making his Grand Ole Opry debut, and he will be joined by a few of his friends in country music. The singer-songwriter will perform at the Opry on August 14, joined by Lainey Wilson, Brad Paisley, Vince Gill and more.
It was Paisley who invited Post Malone to make his Grand Ole Opry debut in a video shared on social media.
“Hey Post, Brad here,” Paisley began. “So what I’m about to ask is going to mean a lot to you, I think, knowing you, and knowing the respect that you have for country music and this journey you’re embarking on now as a hillbilly singer, which is gonna be massive and remarkable and amazing for both country music, and I think you. Would you like to play the Opry? Come play with me in August.
“Total invite, and it’s going to be the first of many appearances, I have a feeling, from you,” he continued. “Come experience what it’s like to play the show that started it all. You and I can jam together, and a lot of your friends will be there, and we’re gonna have a blast.”
Opry member @BradPaisley is sending out a special question to @postmalone. How’s August 14th sound?

Post Malone’s Grand Ole Opry debut comes only two days before his first country album, F-1 Trillion, is released on August 16. The record includes three songs in the Top 30 on the charts right now, with “Guy For That” with Luke Combs, “Pour Me A Drink” with Blake Shelton, and “I Had Some Help” with Morgan Wallen, the latter of which also debuted at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The star-studded record also includes collaborations with Dolly Parton, Tim McGraw, Jelly Roll, Chris Stapleton and more.
The rock star has been a longtime fan of country music, hinting in 2023 that he was considering making a country music album.
“I split my time between a lot of different things because I am happily obligated to do concerts and show love to my fans … and then I’m happily obligated to write music and make beats by myself, and I’m happily obligated to take care of my family,” Post Malone said last year on The Howard Stern Show (via Music Mayhem). “So, it’s a lot of time, and it’s about finding that space to allot that time. If I get another year to myself, maybe I’ll make a country album.”
John Michael Montgomery and The War and Treaty are also scheduled to play the Grand Ole Opry alongside Post Malone on August 14. Tickets are available now at Opry.com.
