Rachele Lynae Makes ‘Got It Bad’ Video a Family Affair (Exclusive)

Rachele Lynae just dropped the official music video for “Got It Bad.” The video was filmed with Rachele’s husband, Tim Creedon, and her sister, Heather Cole, who is also a singer, forcing Rachele to get creative because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

“We pushed back the furniture and transformed my living room into a set, backdrop, with lights and all,” Rachele told Everything Nash. “We honestly didn’t know if it would even work until we finished it….but that didn’t keep us from going all out!”

“Got It Bad” was written with two of Rachele’s favorite co-writers, when she felt optimistic about life and her future, which is reflected in the song.

“When Hannah Bethel, Jamie O’Neal and I got together to write ‘God It Bad,’ we were all in the best mood. It was really just us dishing about what it’s like to be unashamedly into someone.”

Rachele has refused to be discouraged by the current impact of COVID-19, which has forced her off the road instead of out performing for her fans.

“You have to roll with it,” Rachele said. “We’ve been really intentional. I say ‘we’ because my sister is actually an artist too, and she lives in LA. So during COVID, she actually has been staying with my husband and I, because we write a lot together and can help each other with content … While it is really upsetting in a way, I’ve never been great at social media, so this has been a time that is stretching me a little bit that way, to try to stay connected through it.”

“Got It Bad” is from Rachele’s latest Every Reason album, released earlier this year. Although Rachele’s husband didn’t write any of the songs on the record, his influence can be heard through all 12 songs on the project.

“Just because of the season of life that I’m in, I’ve found that a lot of these songs were very much inspired by my relationship with my husband,” Rachele acknowledged. “There’s this kind of idea sometimes in the creative community that once you’re happy, then your muse is going to be gone. It’s a big concern. I’d always thought, ‘Oh gosh, that’s true.’ But what I actually found is that I still have all the ammunition of every relationship I’ve ever been in. But now on top of that, I can write a genuine love song. It doesn’t sound nearly as cheesy as all the ones I had tried to write before.”

Rachele also co-wrote Jamie’s recent single, “Wreck Me.” Purchase Every Reason by visiting Rachele’s website.
