More country artists have been added to next week’s festivities, inaugurating Donald Trump as the 47th President of the United States. Both Rascal Flatts and Jason Aldean are reportedly performing at the Inaugural Ball, along with Kid Rock, Billy Ray Cyrus and The Village People.
The news comes after Carrie Underwood confirmed she was singing “America the Beautiful” during the inauguration ceremony.
“I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event,” Underwood tells People. “I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future.”
The performance at the Inaugural Ball kicks off what is already promising to be an unforgettable year for Rascal Flatts. The trio, made up of Gary LeVox, Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney, recently revealed that they were reuniting for their Life Is A Highway Tour. The tour, which begins in February, marks the 25th anniversary of Rascal Flatts. It also marks a reunion for the band, who announced in 2020 they were embarking on their farewell Life Is A Highway Tour, so they could each pursue other interests.
“In 2020, we announced the farewell tour after being on the road extensively for 20 years,” the group said in a statement when announcing the new tour. “To put it simply, we needed a break. Then COVID hit and our plans came to a screeching halt, like the rest of the world. Since then, we’ve been able to revisit our unique and special experience as a band and we’re ready to get out on the road again. It’s hard to believe that next year will be the 25th anniversary of Rascal Flatts, and that felt like the perfect time to get back in front of the fans who have given us so much.”
Rascal Flatts didn’t need to worry if fans wanted them to return to performing. The tour almost completely sold out within one week of tickets going on sale.
Aldean has been a vocal supporter of Trump, who also now considers him a friend as well. The father of four has shared multiple posts on social media of him with the President-elect, a man he has been praising since his first term in office.

“Big day for our country today,” Aldean said on Election Day. “Over the past several years we have taken a lot of heat from the entertainment industry and the media for our support of Donald Trump. As a father and an American citizen, I want to see our country get back to its values and principles that made us great to begin with. Vote so our kids can have a safe and secure future. I proudly voted for Trump and encourage everyone to get out today and VOTE!”
Trump’s inauguration ceremony is slated to begin at 11:00 AM ET. The entire event will stream live on ABC, CBS, CNN, CSPAN, Fox News, MSNBC, NBC and PBS.
