Rascal Flatts just released a video for “How They Remember You,” which is the title track of their upcoming EP, and it features some of their loyal fans, with photos from the past two decades.
“We wanted to celebrate the past 20 years with you guys and commemorate our shared memories with y’all,” Rascal Flatts explained on social media. “All the love we have felt back has been amazing and we’re excited for you to see this video. We hope it takes you back like it did us and we look forward to continuing to make new memories.”
Rascal Flatts planned on being on their Life Is a Highway farewell tour right now. While they have yet to announce if they will resume the tour in 2021 instead, the trio, made up of Gary LeVox, Joe Don Rooney and Jay DeMarcus, each has new projects already in the works, including Jay’s new reality TV show with his family, DeMarcus Family Rules. The show comes as Jay has been enjoying an unprecedented amount of time off the road, due to COVID-19.
“It’s been wonderful for me,” Jay previously shared, speaking of his time at home. “I’ve loved being able to be home with my kids and really connect on a deeper level than I’ve been able to, to be honest. And so, to spend that much concentrated time with them has been really, really awesome for me. I loved being able to wake up and make them breakfast.”
Gary is also working on a Christian album, and hints he may do a solo country album as well.
“I’m so excited; more excited than I’ve been in a long time,” Gary said in an episode of Bobby Bones’ podcast, Bobbycast (via Sounds Like Nashville). “I love everything that we did with Flatts and being a part of that, and who knows what will happen in the future, but I’m so excited about just having my own songs that I handpicked and helped co-produce. It’s just fresh, it’s new, it’s exciting, and singing about the Lord is going to be awesome. It’s been a dream record since I was a kid.”
Rascal Flatts previously released “Quick, Fast, In a Hurry,” with Rachel Wammack. The song is from How They Remember You, which will be released on July 31. Pre-order the project via Amazon or their website.
