Reba McEntire is returning to the Ryman Auditorium, where she will be joined by a few special guests. The country music legend will appear at the iconic venue for Not the Fancy: An Evening with Reba and Friends on November 5, hosted by her good friend, and former Reba co-star, Melissa Peterman.
The show comes shortly after the release of McEntire’s book, Not That Fancy: Simple Lessons on Living, Loving, Eating, and Dusting Off Your Boots, out on October 10.
“Reba’s newest book ‘Not That Fancy: Simple Lessons on Living, Loving, Eating, and Dusting Off Your Boots’ is an enchanting collection of funny, poignant, and deeply personal stories, photos, tips, and recipes from Reba McEntire,” the Ryman shares on their Facebook page. “Tickets on sale Friday at 10 AM CT. Every ticket includes a copy of Reba’s new book!”
McEntire is eager to share Not That Fancy with the rest of the world, which she says is really just meant to provide entertainment to her fans.
“The book is a fun book,” she revealed on the Today Show. “Sometimes you have books, autobiographies, that are really diving into stuff. This is just a fun book. You can look through it. You can read it front to back. It’s got recipes, stories, new pictures people haven’t seen before. Talking about my family, my faith, my friends. And then recipes that are from the restaurant in Otoka, Oklahoma, called ‘Reba’s Place.’”
McEntire is having a busy 2023. In addition to the release of her new book, and accompanying album, the 68-year-old will also serve as a coach for Season 24 of The Voice later this year, filling the spot left vacant by Blake Shelton. She has also already agreed to appear in Season 25 next year as well.
“The country lane — I’m taking over for Blake so I’m gonna represent country music,” McEntire told People. “[He has] big boots. I don’t know what size those boots are, but they’re big, so I’m gonna really work hard to make him proud.”
Gwen Stefani, John Legend and Niall Horan will join McEntire in the red swivel chairs later this year, an ensemble McEntire is grateful to join.
“John and Niall [are] all really funny and clever, and always have so many smart things to say, so I’ve got my work cut out for me,” McEntire said. “I’m most excited about basically getting started, and I’m sure that I’ll have lots of help, lots of advice, lots of people coming around saying, ‘You can do this. You can do that.’ And I’m not afraid at all. I think it’ll be a very fun adventure.”
Season 25 of The Voice will feature McEntire, Dan + Shay, Legend and Chance the Rapper.
Tickets for McEntire’s Not the Fancy: An Evening with Reba and Friends will be available here on Friday, July 14.
