Fans planning to see Reba McEntire perform this weekend, as part of her Reba: Live in Concert Arena Tour, are going to have to wait a little while longer. The country music superstar reveals on social media that she has been placed on vocal rest, and will be unable to fulfill the next few shows on her schedule.
The Country Music Hall of Fame member shared the disappointing news on social media.
“My doctor has advised me to go on vocal rest, so I have made the difficult decision to reschedule this weekend’s shows,” McEntire writes. “All tickets will be honored for the new dates.”

McEntire will now play on December 2 in Columbus, Ohio; December 3 in Raleigh, North Carolina; and December 16 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The Oklahoma native announced in October that she was having so much fun on her arena tour that she decided to extend it into 2023. Terri Clark, who is serving as her opening act now, will continue opening for her next year as well, along with The Isaacs,
“I am very grateful we’re continuing this tour on into 2023,” McEntire says. “I’ve had so much fun being back out on the road and doing what I love to do most, entertaining people. And now getting to headline places like Madison Square Garden and bring my buddies Terri Clark and The Isaacs with me? Well, that’s just the extra icing on an already triple-layered, stuffed and filled, iced and frosted cake!”
McEntire has spent almost her entire adult life performing in front of people, but even more than four decades later, the stage remains her favorite place to be.
“I enjoy being on stage,” the 67-year-old said on The Bobby Bones Show. “I love getting in front of an audience. I always have loved touring. Of course, everybody gets tired, and is ready to go do something else, but touring’s been very good for me and my family, and my organization. We absolutely crave it.”
McEntire is scheduled to perform at the 2022 CMA Awards, along with Brothers Osborne, Brandy Clark, Luke Combs, Caylee Hammack, Cody Johnson, Elle King, Patty Loveless, Ashley McBryde, John Osborne, Katy Perry, Pillbox Patti, Cole Swindell, The Black Keys, The War and Treaty, and Thomas Rhett.
Bryan and Peyton Manning will serve as hosts of the 2022 CMA Awards. The 2022 CMA Awards will air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, November 9, at 8:00 PM ET on ABC.
