Reba McEntire‘s Happy’s Place is officially a success. The Country Music Hall of Fame member, who stars in the new NBC comedy, is overwhelmed with gratitude, after the show’s premiere.
“I’m taking a little break from shooting our next episode here tonight to let you know how thrilled we are. We have gone over the ten million viewer mark,” McEntire says in a video shared on social media. “Couldn’t have done it without you and we wouldn’t have wanted to. Y’all are the best, loyal fans ever in the world. Everybody here wanted me to tell you thank you, thank you, thank you.
“Let’s continue this ride together, okay?” she continues. “You can watch on NBC every Friday night, or the next day on Peacock. Just please watch. And tell your neighbors, tell your friends, tell everybody at the coffee shop. We love you. Come see us.”
I wanted to thank each and every one of you who has tuned in to watch the premiere of Happy’s Place. We’re so grateful for the 10 million of you who’ve welcomed us into your living room.#HappysPlace airs every FRIDAY at 8/7c on @nbc 🍻 pic.twitter.com/8rc6lmPcwx

McEntire stars in Happy’s Place alongside her longtime boyfriend, Rex Linn, and her good friend — and former Reba co-star — Melissa Peterman. She also co-wrote the sitcom’s theme song, working alongside the legendary Carole King.
The 69-year-old, who also appears as a coach for this season of The Voice, has been vocal about her desire for a Reba reboot. While that may or may not happen, she tied many elements of her former hit TV show into her new series.
“It’s the same showrunners, same writers and same producers as the Reba show,” McEntire tells Entertainment Tonight. “So it’s going to be that heartfelt, fun, funny, laugh at our silliness, but also be touched by the heart in the show. That’s what I really loved about Reba. Remember when you would watch Andy Griffith, and he always would have a lesson, about how he dealt with something that Opie was going through? So that’s what we were really looking forward to doing every episode on the Reba show, and now Happy’s Place.”
McEntire is also excited to be working with Linn, whom she met when they both starred in the Kenny Rogers movie, The Gambler, in 1991. Dating since early 2020, McEntire is happy that their work and personal lives so seamlessly intertwine.
“We’ve gotten to do two other projects together, ABC‘s Big Sky, and then Lifetime, The Hammer movie,” McEntire tells Extra. “So we love working together. What’s really the best part about it is, he’s my coach, so when we’re home, he’s helping me with my lines, and to memorize. He’s wonderful. Helps me a lot.”
Already an entertainment icon before she began a relationship with Linn, the Oklahoma native credits their romance with her new chapters, both with The Voice and Happy’s Place.
“I think it’s a newfound strength,” McEntire tells Us Weekly. “Once you’re confident in your love life, your at-home life, then you can go out and conquer the world … Everything just gelled, the success of us getting to work together, my touring and everything else fell into place. Timing is everything and everything happens for a reason.”
Happy’s Place airs at 8:00 PM ET. Find all of McEntire’s music and upcoming shows at Reba.com.
