A new round of performers has been announced for the upcoming CMA Awards, including Reba McEntire and Chris Stapleton. They join an all-star cast of artists added to the live broadcast, including Brothers Osborne, Brandy Clark, Luke Combs, Caylee Hammack, Cody Johnson, Elle King, Patty Loveless, Ashley McBryde, John Osborne, Katy Perry, Pillbox Patti, Cole Swindell, The Black Keys, The War and Treaty, and Thomas Rhett.
While McEntire has yet to announce what she will perform, Stapleton will sing “You’ll Never Leave Harlan Alive” with Loveless. Combs will perform his current single, “The Kind of Love We Make,” while Johnson will perform his recent No. 1 hit, “‘Til You Can’t.” King and The Black Keys will honor the late Jerry Lee Lewis, with “Great Balls of Fire.”
Brothers Osborne will perform “It’s Only Rock & Roll (But I Like It)” with The War and Treaty. McBryde will be joined by Clark, Hammack, Pillbox Patti and Osborne to sing their version of Linda Rondstadt’s “When Will I Be Loved.” Rhett and Perry will sing, “Where We Started,” while Swindell will sing his multi-week No. 1 hit, “She Had Me At Heads Carolina.”
The new artists join a previously-announced list of performers, which includes Carrie Underwood, Morgan Wallen, Jimmie Allen, Miranda Lambert, HARDY, Lainey Wilson, the Zac Brown Band, Kelsea Ballerini, Carly Pearce, Kelly Clarkson, Marcus King and more are among the list of performers, along with host Luke Bryan.
Bryan will perform his current Top 10 single, “Country On,” while Lambert will perform “Geraldene,” from her latest Palomino album. Pearce will perform an undisclosed song from 29: Written in Stone, Underwood will sing her latest single, “Hate My Heart,” and Wallen will perform his recent No. 1 hit, “You Proof.”
Ballerini will sing her new track, “You’re Drunk, Go Home,” with Pearce and Clarkson, while HARDY will be joined by Wilson to sing their “wait in the truck” single. Allen and Marcus will join the Zac Brown Band to sing their current single, “Out In The Middle.”
The live broadcast will begin with a star-studded tribute to Loretta Lynn, who passed away on October 4. Wilson leads the list of nominees with six nods, followed by Ashley McBryde, Pearce and Chris Stapleton,
Bryan and Peyton Manning will serve as hosts of the 2022 CMA Awards. The 2022 CMA Awards will air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, November 9, at 8:00 PM ET on ABC.
