Reba McEntire, Luke Bryan + More to Perform at RodeoHouston

The lineup for this year’s RodeoHouston is out, and includes some unbelievable talent. Reba McEntire will kick off the festivities on March 4, followed by an impressive lineup of talent that includes Luke Bryan, Brooks & Dunn, Brad Paisley, Old Dominion, Jon Pardi, Post Malone, Bailey Zimmerman and more.

“Each season, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo aims to bring a strong lineup of artists that reflect our Western roots while still offering an array of music that embraces Houston’s culture,” says Chris Boleman, President and CEO of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. “Nine entertainers will make their debut on the star stage, alongside some Rodeo fan-favorites and hall-of-fame artists, some of which are returning for the first time in over a decade.”

McEntire was the first woman inducted to RodeoHouston’s Star Trail of Fame in 2007. Her upcoming appearance will mark her 20th performance at the RodeoHouston, and her first in 11 years.

McEntire’s performance at RodeoHouston is part of a busy year for McEntire, who will turn 70 in March. The Oklahoma native is back on TV, starring in the new TV show, Happy’s Place, working alongside her longtime boyfriend, Rex Linn, and her former Reba co-star, Melissa Peterman, along with several other people who joined her on her former hit sitcom.

“It’s the same showrunners, same writers and same producers as the Reba show,” McEntire tells Entertainment Tonight. “So it’s going to be that heartfelt, fun, funny, laugh at our silliness, but also be touched by the heart in the show. That’s what I really loved about Reba. Remember when you would watch Andy Griffith, and he always would have a lesson, about how he dealt with something that Opie was going through? So that’s what we were really looking forward to doing every episode on the Reba show, and now Happy’s Place.”

No one was more excited than McEntire that Happy’s Place was a success when it premiered in October.

“I’m taking a little break from shooting our next episode here tonight to let you know how thrilled we are. We have gone over the ten million viewer mark,” McEntire says on social media. “Couldn’t have done it without you and we wouldn’t have wanted to. Y’all are the best, loyal fans ever in the world. Everybody here wanted me to tell you thank you, thank you, thank you.

“Let’s continue this ride together, okay?” she continues. “You can watch on NBC every Friday night, or the next day on Peacock. Just please watch. And tell your neighbors, tell your friends, tell everybody at the coffee shop. We love you. Come see us.”
