Rory Feek is back with another children’s book! The singer and songwriter is releasing The Day God Made You, inspired by his daughter, Indiana, on Tuesday, June 16.

“The book came from my little girl Indiana’s almond-shaped eyes,” Rory explained (via CCMMagazine.com). “Although, on the day Indy was born, my wife Joey and I had no idea that she would have Down Syndrome and be a little different than her big sisters and other children — God did. That was a beautiful realization for me. Not just for how Indy is uniquely made, but how all of us are.

“From the families we have and the work we do, to the places we live and the dreams that we dream…He knew it all,” he continued. “We might hold the pen, but truly, God is the writer of our life stories”

The Day God Made You includes beautiful pictures and illustrations, along with a powerful message of reminding children of God’s love for them.

“We often forget that out of the billions of people that are in the world, each one of us is uniquely made, with our own unique features, personalities and lives that we will live,” Rory explained. “And what’s even more remarkable is that God knew all these things the day He made us.”

Rory was one-half of the duo, Joey + Rory, along with his wife, Joey Feek. Joey passed away in 2016, after battling cervical cancer. Indiana was two years old when her mother died, leaving Rory to raise the now 6-year-old by himself.

“We’ve settled into a really wonderful life. Both of my sisters live on the farm with us,” Rory told People earlier this year. “Most little girls have a mother. Indiana has a lot of mothers.”

Rory’s two adult daughters, Heidi and Hopie, also help out with Indiana as much as possible, surrounding the little girl with love in the absence of her own mother.

“They want to help where they can help,” Rory boasted of his family members. “Last night, my sister Marcy invited us over for dinner and I was like, ‘I shouldn’t come over.’ We were over to her house the night before for dinner. I was like, ‘I didn’t want to come over tonight.’ And she’s like, ‘That’s what this is for. You know that’s what this is for, right? That’s why we’re here. This is what we do. That’s the whole point.’”
