Russell Dickerson is heading out on the road this fall, joined by a few special guests. The father of one, with one on the way, announces his Big Wheels & Back Roads Tour, kicking off on September 21, joined by Restless Road for all dates, with Parmalee and Niko Moon each joining Dickerson on select dates.
Dickerson announced the new tour on social media.

The Tennessee native is eager to head back on tour, which continues to be a benchmark for how far he has come in country music.
“I’ve been touring for, I think this is our seventh year in a row, just nonstop, 100 miles an hour,” Dickerson told Entertainment Tonight. “And this is the first year that I was going to profit. Because it’s always [going] back. It’s always hiring more people, more lights, bigger everything. And this was the first year that I was actually going to make money. And I still, this time I would not trade it for a penny of that. it’s been the biggest blessing.”
Dickerson already bought their new son headphones so he, like his big brother, can join his father on the road. For the “God Gave Me A Girl” singer, he is at his best when he is with his wife Kailey, even if that time is while he is on tour. Fortunately, Dickerson was able to spend time at home earlier this year, time he wouldn’t trade for anything.
“We spend a lot of time together, always,” Dickerson said. “She’s traveled with me since day one. She took all the pictures on the road. She used to sell the merch, and set up that whole thing, and drive the van back in the day. So the fact that we’ve been home alone, that time isn’t necessarily always quality time, even though we’re together 24/7. These six months have been real quality time.”
Dickerson released his eponymous third studio album in November, co-writing all 15 songs on the record.
“I had some songs on hold that I wanted to record, and as I would play them for my tight group of people, they were just like, ‘I feel like you have better,’” Dickerson told Everything Nash. “I am not precious about writing every song on my album, by any means. I want to record outside songs. This community here … there are a million hit songs sitting in people’s folders right now.”
