Russell Dickerson fans are in luck. The Tennessee native just announced he will hit the road again this fall, headlining his own She Likes It Tour. The tour, which will kick off on November 17 in Indianapolis, Indiana, will feature Drew Green as his opening act on all dates.
Dickerson announced the news on social media.
Couldn’t end the year without hitting the road one more time! Catch us out on the #SheLikesItTour with my boy @DrewGreenMusic! #RDFam presale starts TOMORROW at 10am local with code RDFAM2022 💪🏻 https://t.co/EarzR5HmGT pic.twitter.com/TQsL9dk9j8

The tour name comes from Dickerson’s current single, “She Likes It,” which features Jake Scott. The song is the debut single from his forthcoming, still-untitled new album.
Dickerson started 2022 by headlining his own All Yours, All Night Tour, which was followed by serving as the opening act on Tim McGraw‘s McGraw Tour 2022. While opening for McGraw was a dream come true for Dickerson, the 35-year-old says his biggest goal has always been to see his own name in the top spot.
“This is the moment I’ve been waiting for in my career, to have my own headlining tour,” Dickerson told Everything Nash earlier this year. “I love opening up for people. I love opening for Thomas Rhett and Florida Georgia Line and all that stuff, but it’s like, this is my show. I get to do whatever I want. I get to play as long as I want. And I feel like this is my moment to shine. That freedom is where I shine. I can bust into an old song or a brand-new song, or a James Taylor song or anything. It’s my night. I can do whatever I want. And I’ve been waiting for that freedom for so long.”
In fact, Dickerson has his sights set on one of country music’s biggest superstars, namely Garth Brooks, as the artist whose success he most wants to emulate.
“Garth Brooks is like the pinnacle,” Dickerson tells Fox News. “I mean, he’s the highest-selling RIAA artist of all time – over Michael Jackson, over the Beatles. So, that’s what I have my sights set on. And why not? If you’re not trying to be the greatest, I don’t understand what you are doing this for.”
Presale for Dickerson’s She Likes It Tour begins on Tuesday, August 16, at 10:00 AM local time. Keep track of tour updates, as well as all of Dickerson’s music, by visiting his website.
