A new song might soon be out from Scotty McCreery, from his forthcoming Rise and Fall album. The talented singer teased a release of the song earlier this week, later adding another clip of the song.
“When your whole world falls to pieces and you don’t know how to build it back … there’s a red letter blueprint in King James black,” he captioned the video.
Ahead of the announcement of the release of Rise and Fall, McCreery said he was including a gospel song on his record, hinting that he might do an entire album of faith-based songs someday.

“I would love to make a gospel record,” McCreery revealed. “I think one of my favorite Elvis records was his gospel record. One of my heroes growing up was Josh Turner. As a lot of folks know, he just got a chance to make a gospel record. So, it’s a goal of mine. I’m not sure if that will be five years, ten years, but it’s a goal of mine to be able to do that. I grew up singing gospel songs in church. We just recorded a gospel song to go on the record. That’s what we ended the whole day with, so it’s something that’s important to me.”
Something else that’s important to him is the North Carolina mountains. The father of one features them on the cover of Rise and Fall, recently sharing the significance of the scenic landscape with a few photos of him and his wife, Gabi, through the years.

“How it started vs. how it’s going ⛰️ From the proposal to our wedding and now the album cover for Rise & Fall,” McCreery captioned the photos. “The North Carolina mountains mean a lot to me and Gabi. I can’t wait to share the album with y’all!”
McCreery recently opened up about Rise and Fall, and why this, in many ways, feels like the most important album of his career.
“I think this record is for me,” McCreery told WNYT. “I feel like I’m at a place in my life and career where I don’t want to be chasing trends or sounds. I want to make a record that feels good to me and my soul, and what I grew up loving, and what I want to make. So we sat down, and I told all my buddies, who are my favorite songwriters but just really good friends, I said, ‘I want to write a country album. I want to tell country stories. I want to tell my story through songs.’
“‘Can’t Pass The Bar‘ is just a good, old-fashioned, country barn-burner, and I’ve never done one of those songs, but they’re a big part of country music history, so I’m glad I finally get my own on this record,” he added.
McCreery currently has a Top 10 hit with “Cab In A Solo,” the debut single from Rise and Fall. He has also released “Slow Dance” and “Love Like This” from the album. The record will be released on May 10. McCreery will be inducted into the Grand Ole Opry byTurner on April 20.
