Scotty McCreery‘s Damn Strait Tour is a lot sweeter — and maybe slightly more sleep-deprived — now that he has his family on the road with him. The 29-year-old shared sweet photos of his son, Avery, and his wife, Gabi, joining him on the bus, while he spends much of the remainder of the year on the road.
McCreery, who hinted last year he was going to be joined by his baby boy on tour, captioned the photos “Officially a roadie!”
Officially a roadie!

Last fall, McCreery said he had already made plans to have his family with him while on the road, marking the first time in his career that he wasn’t on the bus with his band and crew.
“Next year we’re gonna bring out a baby bus, so we’ll get him out there,” the American Idol alum told Everything Nash. “Gabi will be out there a lot with me too, so he’ll have his own little crib and everything. It’ll be a completely different way to do the road for me. I’ve been doing it now over ten years. I’ve got my system, so this is gonna throw that for a loop, but I can’t wait. It’s gonna be awesome.”
It might be a different dynamic, trading band guys for a baby on his bus, but McCreery insists he wouldn’t have it any other way.
“This is the best thing that ever happened to me,” McCreery told The Lufkin Daily News. “Avery is wonderful and Gabi is just crushing it as a mom. I’m doing everything I can to be a good dad.”
McCreery will wrap up his Damn Strait Tour in April, and then join his musical heroes, Brooks & Dunn, on their REBOOT 2023 Tour, kicking off on May 4.
“Having been a huge fan of their music all my life, going out on the road with Kix and Ronnie is a dream come true for me,” McCreery said of the invitation. “I can’t wait for this tour to begin!”
McCreery is also part of the American Currents exhibit, open now, at the Country Music Hall of Fame. His single, ““It Matters To Her,” is currently in the Top 20 and climbing. Find music and tour dates at ScottyMcCreery.com.
