Shania Twain has a new song, “Giddy Up!,” out now. The song is from her forthcoming new album, Queen of Me, out on February 3.

“The saying ‘Let’s Go Girls!’ is such a wonderfully uplifting sentiment now, but it’s just something I said during the recording in the studio and I guess that’s the same for ‘Giddy Up!,'” Twain says. “These lines come to me when I’m thinking about how to put a little ‘pep in my step.’ I want people to feel good when they hear the new album. I want to set a celebratory tone and ‘Giddy Up!’ is a way to call to the audience and say ‘Let’s get ready for some fun!'”

Twain, who also released “Waking Up Dreaming” from Queen of Me, says that “Giddy Up!” is another hint of what fans will hear from the record.

“‘Giddy Up!’ is another taster of what you can expect from the album,” Twain shares on social media. “‘Giddy Up!’ represents the ‘night on the town Shania’ whose prerogative is just to have a little fun and go totally crazy!!”

Twain previously said that Queen of Me, her first record since Now came out in 2017, shows where she is in life now, and her goal to empower others as well.

“These days, I’m feeling very comfortable in my own skin — and I think this album reflects that musically,” Twain shared on Instagram. “Life is short and I want to be uplifted, colorful, unapologetic and empowered. I want to carry a clear message, particularly as a woman, to always remember my power and I hope the songs are a reminder to you, of that same power inside you!”

Queen of Me will be Twain’s first for Republic Nashville, a division of Republic Records. The country music trailblazer is Republic Nashville’s flagship artist.

“I couldn’t think of a better partner than Republic Nashville,” Twain said of her new record label. “I’m honored and excited to be the label’s first artist and lead the charge of this new and exciting chapter. In this respect, it feels like a new beginning all around, and I’m embracing it wholeheartedly.”

Twain will embark on her global Queen of Me Tour in 2023. The tour, which includes Kelsea Ballerini, Lindsay Ell, Hailey Whitters, BRELAND, Robyn Ottolini, Priscilla Block, Mickey Guyton, Lily Rose, Talk, and Tenille Townes joining Twain on select dates, will begin on April 28 in Spokane, Washington.
