The Oak Ridge Boys, Mark Wills and Sara Evans will perform together at the Grand Ole Opry, for a special July 4 show. Their Opry performance is part of Circle All Access’ America’s Birthday Bash, which will take place all weekend, including Saturday’s Opry performance, as well as Circle Sessions with Craig Morgan, which will take place prior to the Grand Ole Opry show.
Bobby Bones will continue to host from the Opry, with new Runaway June member Natalie Stovall guest-hosting the livestream.
The Opry just announced that, after hoping they would be able to open the Saturday night Opry shows to the general public in July, they have decided to refrain allowing a live audience to watch the performances, at least until August.
“To align with Metro Nashville health and safety guidelines amid current COVID-19 concerns, the Grand Ole Opry has canceled performances that include a live audience through August 7,” a statement reads at Opry.com, adding that they are selling tickets for August shows, even though those plans have yet to be finalized.
“While we are unsure when ticketed shows will return, presently tickets are on sale for shows starting with August 8,” the statement continued. “We continue to be hopeful these shows will take place as planned.”
Jimmy Buffett was planning on making his Grand Ole Opry debut this Saturday, June 27, but canceled because of a spike in coronavirus cases in Nashville. He will be replaced by Keb’ Mo’, who will perform alongside Brad Paisley. Although the shows continue without an audience, backstage tours at the Opry will be available beginning on Friday, June 26.
The July 4 show will mark the Grand Ole Opry’s 4931st consecutive show. The Opry shows can be watched via both Circle and Gray TV stations, DISH Studio Channel 102, Sling TV, among other options. Find more information at Opry.com.
