The Oak Ridge Boys Add More Dates to Their American Made Farewell Tour

The Oak Ridge Boys won’t be saying goodbye to their fans anytime soon. The group announces more dates on their American Made Farewell Tour, continuing to see their fans all over the country, with more dates expected to be added in the near future.

The tour dates come after the release of their latest album, Mama’s Boys, out last November.

“We’ve had so much fun touring from city to city and getting to see everyone,” William Lee Golden says. “The response we received from the new album has been wonderful and we hope you love it as much as we do. Keep checking our website as new dates will be added soon!”

When the Oak Ridge Boys announced their American Made Farewell Tour, it was to support Joe Bonsall, who was quietly battling Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, a neuromuscular disorder commonly known as ALS. But after the 2023 Christmas tour, Bonsall made the choice to step away on his own, inviting Ben James to take his place.

Bonsall tragically passed away in July, a heartbreaking loss for the Country Music Hall of Fame members. Still, they continue to move forward, and plan on spending as much time with their fans as possible in 2025.

“We’re doing just fine,” Duane Allen tells Everything Nash. “We had a very, very challenged year, all of us, all four of us. And it’s probably been the most difficult year in personal ways that we’ve been through, ever. But our friends and our fans have stepped up, and God has filled in all the blanks. And Ben James, his hero was Joe Bonsall; he knows everything that Joe has ever recorded. We haven’t even had a rehearsal with Ben. We just call a song, and he knows it. We love having Ben with us. He’s been a godsend for us, and we are soldiering on.

With the addition of James, it’s likely the Oak Ridge Boys could continue even into 2026. It’s a much different outcome than what anyone expected when the American Made Farewell Tour was announced.

“We will go until we can’t, and I think we all came here enjoying The Oak Ridge Boys,” Golden tells CCM Magazine.  “There was a great singer standing in the spot that we stood on, and the torch was passed to each one of us. And I think that it’s our obligation to actually pass the torch to a new generation when it’s time. We can go as far as we can and with the success and the acceptance of the audience, like Ben James is being accepted out there. He’s not Joe Bonsall. No one is Joe Bonsall but Joe Bonsall. But he’s Ben James.”
