Todd Tilghman just announced his first project after winning Season 18 of The Voice — and it’s a Christmas EP! The father of eight announced the news on social media, revealing he would also be hitting the road this holiday season as well.
“This December, look for my first ever Christmas EP, featuring the original title track ‘Old Photos at Christmastime’ as well as some of my classic faves,” Tilghman shared. “Not only that, I’m taking it on the road with a string of intimate acoustic Christmas shows. Keep your eyes open for dates and tickets!”

Tilghman just wrapped up his run serving as the opening act on Rhett Walker’s The Gospel Song and Tailgatin’ Tour. He has also been busy posting songs on social media, including “I’d Rather Have Jesus,” originals like “Sunday Clothes” and “Sandcastles,” and a cover of Vince Gill’s “Go Rest High On That Mountain,” the latter with fellow The Voice winner — and touring partner on Walker’s tour — Jordan Smith.
Earlier this year, Tilghman hinted that he was planning on releasing new music in 2021, and a lot of it.
“I’ve been in a hundred marketing meetings, and I’m still not 100 percent certain how all of this is gonna roll out,” Tilghman told Everything Nash. “But it’s looking like I will at least through this year, or maybe the summer, and maybe forever, ’cause I’m entering into the music industry in my early ’40s, which is not typical. But as long as I stay independent … I’m listening back to some of the things I’m working on with Gordon [Mote], my producer, and I’m feeling like we may actually have a full album this summer and not just an EP. There’s lots of stuff. But I don’t know how this is going to work out.”
Tilghman and his wife Brooke just released their autobiography, Every Little Win: How Celebrating Small Victories Can Lead to Big Joy. The book is available for purchase here.*
