Todd Tilghman and Jake Hoot are teaming up to release a new song — together! Tilghman, who won Season 18 of The Voice, became friends with Hoot, who won Season 17, teasing their collaboration on social media earlier this year.
Now, less than a week after Tilghman’s debut Old Photos at Christmastime record is out, the father of eight reveals their new collaboration will be officially released on January 14.
“Man, I’ve waited a long time to share this with the world!” Tilghman posted on social media. “My good friend [Jake Hoot] and me covered one of the most iconic hymns of all time! It releases EVERYWHERE January 14, 2022, and y’all can pre-save it on Christmas!”

Tilghman recently revealed he has another duet coming out next year as well: “Love, Me,” which is being released as a duet with Collin Raye, in honor of the song’s 30th anniversary.
“I had a meeting with Collin, and let me say he is just really so nice,” Tilghman tells Everything Nash. “He’s so nice that we were immediately friends, which means we were immediately deep into conversation … I said, ‘Listen, we can talk all afternoon. This is all I have in the afternoon, but before we do that, the reason that I asked you to meet with me is because I would love to get with you, not do it on my own, but you and I together cut one of your classics, like ‘Little Rock’ or, or ‘Not That Different,’ or ‘That Was a River,’ or any of them.’”
“I didn’t know if we should do something different, but he spoke up and said, ‘Well, we’ve been talking about something special to do for the 30th anniversary of ‘Love, Me,’” he continues. “‘I feel like this would be perfect.’ So he and I are cutting ‘Love, Me’ in the first part of the year together.”
Hoot also has a collaboration out now, with his “When Christmas Has Come and Gone” duet with The Tenors.
