Thomas Rhett Announces ‘Live in Las Vegas’ Shows

Thomas Rhett is heading to Las Vegas. The father of four announces Thomas Rhett: Live in Las Vegas, four shows taking place on December 6, 7, 13 and 14 at BleauLive Theater inside Fontainebleau Las Vegas. The shows will occur during National Finals Rodeo week.

“For me, having the chance to set up in Vegas for a string of shows is something I’ve been trying to find the right time to do for awhile now,” Rhett says. “It gives us the chance to be back in smaller rooms – for almost a mini-residency – and really be right there to play off the fans and be sure every single one of them is on their feet each night. I’m already looking forward to making these shows unlike any we’ve ever done before. It’s going to be a blast.”

The news comes as Rhett is getting ready to release his seventh studio album, About A Woman, 14 songs that were inspired, at least in some way, by his wife, Lauren Akins. The record will be released on August 23.

“From top to bottom, I wanted to exude joy and fun with this project – and really just make people move,” Rhett said when the record was announced. “I went into making this record with a fearless attitude, put my blinders on and my head down to try and make really fun music.”

Rhett has a Top 30 hit with  “Beautiful As You,” the debut single from About A Woman.

“This is an anthem for everybody who feels like they out-kicked their coverage,” Rhett said of the feel-good track. “There was one day a couple years back when I was looking at my wife, and I was like, ‘Why in the world did you choose me?’ I get to be with someone who could easily be on the cover of a magazine, and I get to see her in all her forms – a partner, a mother, a friend, even a philanthropist.

“I just feel like I’ve got a first-row seat at almost-perfection, if you will,” he added. “And like the song says, ‘Seriously, what is somebody as amazing as you doing with somebody like me?’”

Rhett likely had a hard time picking which songs would make it onto About A Woman, since he wrote so many songs for the record.

“We recorded almost 30 songs for this next project, and we played a game of, ‘Okay. We’re making an 11-song album. Go,'” Rhett shared on Audacy’s Superstar Power Hour, “And you gotta get real, real, real picky. Because you start to cut, even down into the number 15 region, where you’ve already tried to cut from 30. You go, ‘Yeah, but what about that song? But I think this group of people will like this song.’ At the end of the day, it’s really hard to make an 11-song album.”
