Thomas Rhett is grateful for his wife, Lauren Akins, every day, but especially today. The father of four offered a sweet tribute to Akins, in honor of her 33rd birthday on November 8.
Lauren.. One year away from being in your mid thirties!! Me, Willa Gray, Ada James, Lennon and Lillie are the luckiest…

Rhett also praised Akins last month, when the couple celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary on October 12.
“11 years married to this amazing woman,” Rhett said at the time. “I can still remember what she looked like in first grade. I still remember how much taller than me she was at church camp in 6th grade. I still remember picking her up on our first date at 16. I still remember how fast my heart was beating when she walked down the aisle. Basically I remember it all so vividly. I can’t believe how much life we have gotten to share together.
“[Lauren], you have been and always will be my best friend,” he continued. “I thank God for you every single day. I love you so much. Thank you for loving me and everyone you know so well. Happy anniversary, you+me+4”

Rhett recently celebrated a No. 1 hit with “Angels,” a song Rhett wrote with Julian Bunetta, Jaten Dimsdale and Josh Thompson, from his latest Where We Started album. The song was inspired by Akins, and how she has supported him from the early days of his career until now.
“Lauren’s been through the wringer with me in the van days, the bus days, and now today’s days, and she’s always taken my life as a champ,” Rhett told Southern Living. “I say this a lot before I play the song live, but I look at Lauren sometimes and I do truly wonder every now and then if her body is completely just taken over by an angel, because it takes a lot of patience to be married to somebody like me.”
Rhett currently has a Top 40 single with “Mamaw’s House,” a collaboration with Morgan Wallen. The song is on Rhett’s 20 Number Ones album, out now. Find all of Rhett’s music and tour dates at ThomasRhett.com.
