Thomas Rhett‘s four children found an epic way to help him kick off his Home Team Tour. The 33-year-old showed framed artwork from his daughters, as a way to celebrate his summer trek.
“My team trying to make me cry first night of tour… sheesh,” he captioned the photos.

Rhett’s Home Team Tour will end with two back-to-back shows at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, on September 29 and 30. The tour was originally scheduled to wrap up on September 29, but Rhett added a second show after the first concert sold out.
“It’s always a dream come true to play your hometown,” Rhett says. “But getting to play the arena two nights in a row is going to be one of those things I tell my grandkids about one day.”
Rhett recently celebrated his 20th No. 1 hit, with “Half of Me,” his duet with Riley Green.
“20 number ones in ten years is mind-blowing,” Rhett says of the achievement. “The support since 2012 by radio, songwriters, my team and all the fans has been incredible. This is insane and I’m so grateful for this wild ride! I can’t wait to see what the next decade has in store.”
Rhett is back in the Top 25 again, this time with with “Angels,” written about his wife, Lauren Akins. The song is from his latest Where We Started album, released last year.
“This is my favorite song from the album. I wrote it from a personal perspective, but I think it will resonate with a lot of people,” Rhett says. “It’s about how none of us are perfect, and how lucky we are to have those people in our lives who show up and love us despite our flaws. I often look at my wife and think she’s truly an angel, for the love and grace she shows me every single day.”
It’s fitting that Rhett’s children drew him artwork for the tour, with a little help from their mom, since they have been with him as his career has soared in recent years.
“2012 when I was playing 600 shows a year, and Lauren was with me on the tour bus with nine other dudes, it felt like we were never going to get out of that,” Rhett admits to BMLG. “And my wife, being like, ‘Man, how many times have we been to Wisconsin this year?’ I wake up now, and we have four children. So much has changed in my career from success to bigger rooms, to getting to do neat collaborations with people.”
Cole Swindell and Nate Smith will serve as Rhett’s opening acts for his Home Team Tour, which will hit 40 cities in 27 states. Find music and tour dates at ThomasRhett.com.
