Tim McGraw fans may not be able to see him in concert on his Here on Earth Tour this year, but they will still get to see him perform. The 53-year-old, whose Here on Earth album will be released on August 21, will host livestream event, where he will talk with the songwriters and his band, and share some of the stories behind the songs on his next record, as well as play some of his previous hits.
“The thing I miss the most about playing live is the connection I feel to everyone,” Tim explained in a statement. “Even if we can’t physically be together this summer, hopefully this will give us a chance to share the new album and know how much we are still together seeing each other through.”

Tim had to cancel his Here on Earth Tour due to COVID-19, but is cautiously optimistic that he will be able to hit the road next year.
“I don’t know is the answers that all of us have I think for these things,” Tim told SiriusXM‘s Storme Warren. “I hope that it gets back next year. Hopefully sooner. I’m counting on next year, but I’d love to be surprised. I hope it’s the same. Hopefully, it’s not different. But we will do whatever’s the safest way to do it. We’re going to look out for our fans and look out for the public first and foremost, and do the safest thing that we can when it’s the right time to do it.
“I do hope it gets back to the days where we’re jammed in there and we’re packed in there, and we’re all slinging sweat and having a great time getting lost in the music,” he continued. “That’s what artists do. That’s what we love to do. That’s why we got into this business. We didn’t get into this business to be in a studio by ourselves singing our song. We got into this business to be on stage in front of thousands of people letting the guitars rip and turning the music up and having a great time. Singing these songs for people in public, and hearing everybody sing those songs back to us. That’s what we hope it gets back to.”
The livestream event will be held on August 21, at 9:00 PM ET. Tickets, which are only $15, are on sale now, and can be purchased here.
