Tim McGraw Covers Shania Twain’s ‘You’re Still the One’ [WATCH]

Countless artists have covered Tim McGraw‘s hits over the years, but now he is putting his own spin on another country music superstar’s song. The father of three just posted a cover of him singing Shania Twain‘s  1998 hit, “You’re Still the One,” from Twain’s diamond-certified Come On Over album.

“Bob Minner and I had some fun covering this Shania Twain classic a few weeks ago,” McGraw captioned the video, referencing Minner, his guitar player of more than 30 years.. “Always been a big fan… can’t wait to listen to the new album!!”

McGraw referred to Twain’s Queen of Me album, which was released on Friday, February 3. The record marked Twain’s first new set of tunes since Now was released in 2017.

The 56-year-old is also working on new music of his own. McGraw’s latest album, Here on Earth, was released in 2020. The record included “I Called Mama” and his “Undivided” collaboration with  Tyler Hubbard, along with the No. 1 hit, “7500 OBO.” After the song landed at the top of the charts, McGraw promised new music would soon be released, although he has yet to share more details of his next project.

McGraw has plenty to keep him busy besides music. He is also starring in the hit TV series, 1883, alongside his wife, Faith Hill — although he was terrified to ask her to join the cast with him. It was director Taylor Sheridan who asked McGraw to invite Hill, which he finally did, after he got up the nerve.

“I’d been a fan of Yellowstone since the first night it came out,” McGraw reveals to BMLG. “So, Taylor called, and he goes, ‘Hey man, I want you to be in Yellowstone, and you’re gonna play the original Dutton who founded the Yellowstone ranch.’ And he said, ‘You’re also gonna have a wife. Do you think Faith would be interested in playing your wife?’ It took me about three days to get the nerve up to ask her. She said, ‘Sure, I’ll be glad to do it. It’ll be fun.’”
