Tim McGraw is honoring his wife of almost 26 years with a touching social media post, in honor of her birthday. Faith Hill turns 55 on September 21, with McGraw sharing a sweet tribute to Hill in celebration of her big day, along with a photo montage of Hill through the years.
“Happy birthday!!!!!” McGraw wrote. “My best friend. My soul mate. The love of my life. I can’t believe that I get to spend my days and nights with you for the rest of my life! You are such a remarkable person and our 3 daughters could not have a better role model in their lives……We love you baby!”

McGraw often publicly praises his wife for all that she does, including how she supports her husband and their daughters.
“She’s the backbone of our family,” McGraw boasted to Access last year. “She’s the steel in our family. Without her being the center of our universe, nothing would work. That’s for me and the girls. She’s just rock-solid. She’s way more solid than I am.”
McGraw and Hill start together in the Paramount+ TV series, 1883. They are joint roles neither of them would have been willing to take before now.
“Our careers were really well established when we got married,” McGraw told BMLG. “Our careers were up and running really hard. So, we made a conscious decision when we got married that no matter what, if we were gonna start a family, that that was gonna be our first priority and everything else was gonna sort of find its place, for better or worse.
“For our careers better or worse, or whatever, that’s always been our core understanding and our core principle, is putting our family first,” he continues. “And I think that that’s paid off in our kids and their lives and how we’ve given them as much of a normal life as we can in the situation that they’re in.”
It was McGraw who was first asked to join the 1883 cast. He was also tasked with asking Hill to star in the show as well, something he admits he was hesitant to do.
“I’d been a fan of Yellowstone since the first night it came out,” McGraw reveals to BMLG. “So, Taylor called, and he goes, ‘Hey man, I want you to be in Yellowstone, and you’re gonna play the original Dutton who founded the Yellowstone ranch.’ And he said, ‘You’re also gonna have a wife. Do you think Faith would be interested in playing your wife?’ It took me about three days to get the nerve up to ask her. She said, ‘Sure, I’ll be glad to do it. It’ll be fun.’”
